By connecting with St. Francis House’s SOS Street Outreach Services, you can help transform the lives of homeless adults, veterans, and youth. Our teams actively strive to provide essential resources and continuous support, turning feelings of helplessness into hope and stability. By doing so, we build a stronger, more compassionate community.
Our program consists of specialized teams that focus on different segments of the homeless population:
Two teams dedicated to engaging and supporting homeless adults and veterans.
A team specially trained to identify and assist homeless youth, connecting them to age-appropriate resources and services.
Our teams travel throughout the county, engaging with homeless individuals wherever they are—on the streets, in the woods, and along the beaches. We provide basic needs to build trust and pave the way to housing-focused services.

Here’s how SOS Street Outreach makes a difference:
Our teams actively seek out and connect with homeless individuals.
We provide essential resources and compassionate care to meet immediate needs.
We connect individuals to housing-focused services, guiding them from the streets to stable housing.
Failing to address homelessness leads to serious consequences for individuals and our community, putting everyone at risk
Without access to basic healthcare and nutrition, individuals experiencing homelessness face worsening physical and mental health conditions.
Living on the streets exposes individuals to higher risks of violence, abuse, and exploitation, leaving them without safety or security.
Lack of resources and support prolongs homelessness, making it increasingly difficult for individuals to break the cycle and find stable housing.
The absence of social support and community connections leads to feelings of isolation and hopelessness, further hindering recovery and reintegration.
Failing to address homelessness affects the entire community, perpetuating a cycle of neglect and suffering that undermines community well-being and cohesion.
